In the video we mentioned that we were going to give you a comparison of Pre-Covid and Post-Covid degree requirements from a prestigious university. After giving it some thought, we decided to expand the comparison to three Universities: a Private University in Pennsylvania, a State University in Louisiana, and a State University in Illinois. You will see that each of the Universities required students to take general level courses regardless of their major.
The lists below are a representation of the changes that these three Universities made in their General Education course requirements during Pre-Covid (2019) and Post-Covid (2024) academic years.

- Arts 1: 1 credit
- College Seminar: 1–4 credits
- English Composition: 6 credits
- Math Sciences: 3 credits
- Natural Sciences: 8 credits
- Social Sciences: 8 credits
- Arts & Humanities: 8 credits
Total: 35–38 credits
2024 General Education Requirements
- No major changes confirmed.
- Requirements assumed to be consistent in structure and credits.

- English Composition: 6 credits
- Analytical Reasoning: 6 credits
- Arts: 3 credits

Total: 39 credits
2024 General Education Requirements
- Same structure and credit distribution as in 2019.
- No changes made to general education core.
